Kyle and I drove one hour to the R Faire - yes, that's spelled right - Faire. It was medieval, genteel, interesting.

Even this couple caught our eye - guess why!!

I never update this! So - if you have stopped by - surprise!!!

Today is beautiful - I just got back from taking Ryan shooting - he's on a Scholastic league for trap and he's amazing!! I am so proud of him. Kyle is taking guitar lessons and he's just as amazing!! He has this incredible guitar teacher - he's probably 23-25, who knows, everyone seems young to me! He actually opened for Cold War Kids - one of Kyle's favorite groups, so that got him HUGE points!!

This weekend - girl's weekend up at my friend Kathy's house - it's on Wabasis Lake - it'll be so much fun - eat, drink and be married - no boys allowed!! so I am really looking forward to just laying in the sun, eating fresh salsa and yes, I might even try to mix up a MOJITO or two or three or four...........STOP ME..........

I have been married 17 years this month and each day I appreciate my man more - can you say that? I feel so blessed to be able to.

Ok - so I am very random - BUT you're still reading it! ha!

Our Visit to see Grandpa

My 3 brothers and I - (I have 4 brothers) took off last Saturday morning at 4 a.m. for a drive by visit with my grandpa who lives 500 miles away. AND YES, ladies, we made it back within 24 hours....23 to be exact. We arrived back home just before 3 a.m. We took turns sleeping - I didn't have to drive at all - so it was fine. We had a great time with grandpa and my uncle Jerry. He took us all around to see places that we hadn't seen in years, like my Grandma Cooley's house and the place where my dad lived when he was born- there is only a well pump left, so we all took a brick and brought it home for our gardens. It was wonderful. We went out for dinner at the Railroad Park Rest. Grandpa's in a nursing home in Ill - very rural area, but it was a wonderful resteraunt!! I was pleasantly surprised! We had a good dinner and a great visit and then headed home! That's the way to do it!! I will tell you what, it was great only being gone one day. Especially since none of us brought our spouses or kids. Here are some pics for you to enjoy! Love you all!! Tomorrow I will post some pics of the beautiful things I love and remember about Fishhook Illinois.......where dad grew up.

I can't really expect you to look at my Xanga if I don't update, huh??? Well, here's what's been going on.

Ryan is just finishing soccer, he has his last hurrah pizza party tonight - yay!!! Tomorrow night, I am going to a spa party with a bunch of fun dames. I am sure margaritas or Sangria will be served, while we are getting a facial and a neck massage...it's a wear pj's party, should be great fun. Saturday, we take on Muskegon in football, the game starts at 1:00, the gates open at 11:30 and I will be standing in line a very long time just to get in the gate. OH MY....we are both undefeated, so it's going to be an amazing game. GO ARROWS!!! - - and very cold...I wonder how much clothes I can get on under my jeans before they hurt.......:)

Kyle is going to the youth convention in Grand Rapids with Christian Life Center where he has been attending the youth group with his girlfriend. He's not gone that much, so it'll be weird not to have him around, but Ryan and his chattiness will make up for it, I am sure. Ryan and I are then going to a surprise bday - -dressup/Halloween party on Saturday night, so that should be fun. Sunday - - - Nascar/church/nap/eat - - not necessarily in that order!!

Crazy Times

Man, a crazy time right now. Let's see, I haven't updated in a week...what's happened since then???

Friday and Saturday - very calm after a busy week. Sunday we had our church spaghetti dinner and silent auction. We held it at a local country/golf club. We had over 100 items, all donated by companies, i.e. American Girl, fan clubs, poker champions, oil changes, rounds of golf, Magazine subscriptions, lots of signed paraphenelia, including a signed Green Bay Packers football that went for 200.00. GREAT TIME!!! We made almost 3500.00 for our church building fund. We had 150 people in attendance - great day, great setting. Monday night - soccer, Tuesday night - soccer practice....Wednesday - Kyle has a dentist appointment and then youth group. OH and did I mention I work every day?? :) - Hey at least I am employed, there's alot of people who would love to be...I won't complain anymore. Besides, I know there will come a day, I will give anything to run the boys around and they won't need me to, so enjoy the moments, the car rides and the hours of waiting. I do get alot of reading done, though. Ladie's Home Journal tonight, until it got too dark waiting for Ry to get done with soccer.

I am really in the mood to scrapbook.....anyone up for it? I am getting further and further behind. But I knwo that as soon as the cold weather is here to stay, I will get the bug and get caught up. It's definitely a better "sport" in the late fall and winter.
